What are the hazards of an unsafe gas fire?

  • Fire due to overheating
  • Fire or explosion due to leaking gas hose or incorrect installation
  • Soot formation due to incomplete combustion

A gas fireplace must be equipped with a thermo-electric safety device. When the pilot light goes out, the gas supply is turned off and the fireplace goes out immediately.
The gas control block regulates the maximum permitted gas supply so that clean gas combustion is achieved with minimal waste. One button serves to ignite the pilot flame and the other button controls an even, stepless and safe flame height. The gas pressure remains constant at 30 mbar despite the various flame heights via the gas pressure regulator.
Terras & Co offers an extra safety feature with the GasStop. The GasStop is an additional valve with test button and display, which you mount between the gas tap and the pressure regulator. The GasStop protects against larger gas leaks. You can also use the GasStop to detect smaller leaks and see how much gas is left in the bottle.
