Autogas?

Autogas is LPG, containing butane, propane and additives, which exactly are unknown. Terras & Co has researched autogas and consulted manufacturers of gas heaters and gas burners. Autogas is not intended for fire tables, gas heaters or built-in burners, but for combustion engines: a gas burner is different from a car and we do not know what ends up in the combustion gases besides CO2 and water. Terras & Co has received confirmation from a fuel dealer for petrol stations that LPG contains lubricants. Autogas is cheaper, because the distribution of full and empty bottles, the professional filling of bottles in a safe environment, checking the safety of the bottles and replacing older bottles do not have to be paid for. Filling bottles yourself at a gas station is punishable for safety reasons.
The type approval (CE) and safety certificates of gas burners are valid for butane and propane, not for autogas. Terrace & Co advises against using autogas in a fire table, gas heater or built-in burner. We do not assist in solving malfunctions and the manufacturer’s warranty expires when using autogas.
